Police investigating Sarasota shooting

SARASOTA, Fla. - At around 5 pm on Saturday, Sarasota police responded to a shooting in the 1800 block of John Rivers St.

One victim is in the hospital with non-life treating injuries, according to a police report.

Police say that the shooter has been taken into custody.

There is no threat to the public, and the incident is still under investigation.
