Man dies after motorcycle crashes into van in Polk County

The Brief

    • A 37-year-old man died after his motorcycle and a van were involved in a crash on Sunday night.
    • It happened on U.S. 27 near Frostproof.
    • FHP said the van turned into the motorcycle's path, causing the crash.

FROSTPROOF, Fla. - A man died after a crash involving his motorcycle and a van at a Polk County intersection on Sunday night, according to the sheriff's office.

It happened around 6 p.m. at U.S. 27 and Charles Street near Frostproof.

PCSO said the van, driven by a 48-year-old woman, turned into the motorcycle's path while turning left onto U.S. 27.

Kevin Loring, 37, died after being thrown from the motorcycle. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to PCSO.
