Manatee cuts through long line of mullet near St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (FOX 13) - Video taken by a drone shows a manatee politely passing through a long line of mullet swimming in the water off St. Petersburg, Florida.

Michael McCarthy with See Through Canoe recorded the video as the 1/3-mile-long school of made its way past about 20 manatees. 

The school of mullet actually weaved around some manatees in spots, both marine animals making way for each other.

After the mullet passed through, McCarthy said, "a few of the manatees came up to look at the man who appeared to be standing on the water," which he recorded and posted on Facebook along with the video of the school of mullet.
