A Mega Millions jackpot worth $1.13 billion has yet to be claimed six months after the March 26 drawing.

"The New Jersey player values privacy and has chosen to remain anonymous. A 2020 New Jersey law allows lottery winners to remain anonymous indefinitely," the NJ Lottery said.

Time was running out to claim the $1.13 billion jackpot, which is the fifth largest in the game's history.

The anonymous winner will receive the cash value of the prize, which is $537.5 million before state and federal taxes.
