Miss Orlando wins Miss Florida title

LAKELAND (FOX 13) - The new Miss Florida joined Good Day Tampa Bay Sunday morning.

Miss Orlando Courtney Sexton was crowned Miss Florida during the annual pageant in Lakeland Saturday night.

Sexton, who attended the University of Central Florida, said her platform is to encourage volunteering and helping out in the community.

She will represent Florida in the Miss America pageant in 2017.
