TAMPA (FOX 13) - A body pulled from the water near Ruskin last night has been identified as a missing boater.
The US Coast Guard Southeast tweeted about the discovery around 10:30 p.m.:
Friday morning, they said a Good Samaritan was about two-and-a-half miles southwest of MacDill Air Force Base when they first spotted the body and radioed the Coast Guard.
Crews arrived a short time later, and have since confirmed that the body was found in the same area where they launched and later suspended a search for missing boater Chief Petty Officer Kenneth Reginald Gates.
