Missing Manatee County man sparks Silver Alert

Deputies in Manatee County are searching for an 87-year-old man who has been missing since Tuesday. 

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office issued a Silver Alert for Paul Sargent, who was last seen driving away from his home on the 5900 block of 31st Court East in Ellenton in a 2001 Lincoln LS with FL tag LT COL S.

Family members say he often drives around with his white Bichon dog named Sassy.

The last known location of his vehicle was at the intersection of SR 62 and Corbett John Road in Parrish at 1:32 p.m. on Tuesday.

Sargent has grey hair, blue/hazel eyes, is 5'5 and weighs approximately 150 lbs. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a navy shirt, and dark grey shoes. 

He has medical conditions and could be disorientated. It’s believed he may have been heading into the Parrish area.
