(WTXF) - After a few years of stores - trying to take early advantage of holiday shoppers - opening on Thanksgiving day, many stores now make early announcements about remaining closed during the holiday.
Backlash from the public, and from employees, was prevalent after some stores opened on Thanksgiving Day, offering pre-Black Friday deals. While the list of open stores was relatively short, the list of stores bucking consumerism on the family-driven holiday seems to grow every year.
According to bestblackfriday.com, almost 60 stores have already let customers and employees know the doors would be closed on Thursday, November 23, 2017. The list has been compiled by
