North Tampa road still closed after fatal 4-car accident: TPD
TAMPA, Fla. - A four-vehicle accident in North Tampa left a woman dead, two others hospitalized, and forced a car into the woods on Friday morning, according to the Tampa Police Department.
TPD says the intersection at E. Bougainvillea Ave and McKinley Dr remains closed as of Friday afternoon after the 10 a.m. crash.
Police say the pile-up began when a woman in her late 20s was turning onto E. Bougainvillea Avenue when she was struck by a Dodge Ram.

She was pronounced dead on the scene, while the second driver was transferred to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the TPD officers who responded to the crash.
The pile-up from the crash and the debris it created dragged two other cars into the crash.
A third driver crashed into a wooded area while trying to avoid the pile-up and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, TPD says.
