One dead, one hospitalized in South Tampa shooting
TAMPA (FOX 13) - A shooting investigation us underway in south Tampa after one man was killed and another was rushed to the hospital Monday night.
Tampa police say it happened just before 8 p.m. at the Gardens at Southbay Apartments on South Lois Avenue. Officials arrived on scene after a caller reported that cars were "shooting at each other" in the area.
One victim was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A short time later, police learned of another shooting about three miles away on South Quincy Street near Price Avenue.
The victim was said to be found dead in his car.
Police believe the two scenes are related, and that the entire incident stemmed from an ongoing dispute.
Authorities have not yet released the names of those involved, and had little information Tuesday morning on whether or not a suspect was still wanted in the case.
So far no arrests have been made.
FOX 13 will continue with updates as they become available.
