AVON PARK (FOX 13) - Deputies say one person was hurt in a shooting at a fast food restaurant in Avon Park.
According to the Highlands County Sheriff's Office, a shooting at the Maryland Fried Chicken sent one person to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies did not name a suspect but say "there is no danger to the surrounding area."
