Palm Harbor mobile home residents rescued by boat

Flooding caused  a lot of havoc in Pinellas County.

The waters have receded but deputies had to rescue dozens of people in Palm Harbor.

Two mobile home parks off Alternate 19 were overcome with water.

Floodwaters covered RV’s past their tires – rising several feet before receding Monday afternoon.

Approximately 40 people evacuated from the Caladesi and Sherwood Forest RV parks.

Some needed to be taken out on boats.

No one was hurt but neighbors say it was the worst flooding they’ve seen in decades.

Power was cut to the communities as a precaution and a shelter was opened in the area.
