A Pinellas County school bus driver was cited after rear-ending a tractor-trailer Thursday morning.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the school bus was carrying six high school-aged children. The bus was traveling westbound on Ulmerton Road. The semi was also traveling westbound on Ulmerton Road, but stopped at a red light at the intersection of 58th Street.

Troopers said the school bus driver didn’t stop, and collided with the rear of the tractor-trailer. Four of the students were transported to All Children’s Hospital for minor injuries. There were no other reported injuries.

Troopers cited the 67-year-old school bus driver for careless driving.
