PINELLAS PARK (FOX 13) - A kitten is safe after two officers with the Pinellas Park Police Department conducted a successful rescue operation Saturday afternoon.
Officers Hutchinson and Schmidt responded to a call about a kitten trapped in a storm drain at Park Blvd. and Belcher Road. Officer Hutchinson was able to fit inside the opening of the drain and reach the trapped kitten.
Police say the kitten is doing well and was taken to an emergency veterinarian.
“Once again our officers prove we are out there each and every day helping everyone and everything, right down to the smallest of creatures,” the department said in a tweet.
