ReliaQuest Bowl Parade takes over Ybor City

It was a party for Alabama and Michigan fans on Monday night in Ybor City as both teams lined the streets for the ReliaQuest Bowl Parade ahead of the big game on Tuesday at Raymond James Stadium.

"I am absolutely pumped. We're going to smoke Michigan, and then we are going to go all the way next year, and we're going to win the whole thing next year," one Alabama fan said.

"We wanted to just come down here just for vacation and then see if they could beat them. I mean, they beat Ohio State, so it'd be a great upset, but we're still going to go to the game and enjoy it," one Michigan fan said.

Some Alabama fans hope to get some revenge after losing to Michigan in the Rose Bowl last year.

"I had a big trip and went to Pasadena. Did the Tournament of Roses Parade. We had a great time, but we left losers, so this year is Alabama and Michigan again. And this year, we are not leaving losers. Roll Tide," another Alabama fan said.

Meanwhile, for some Michigan fans, the ReliaQuest Bowl Parade is a family affair that involves multiple generations.

"Our son is in the Michigan Band. It's his senior year. Actually, in 1988, I was in the Michigan marching band and marched here in the Ybor City Parade, and we also played Alabama," one Michigan fan said.

Along with both schools' bands, multiple high school marching bands from places like Texas and Missouri marched in the parade. For some, it's their first time in Tampa.

"We're tailgating in the parking lot. They were doing pregame during the game, and they were going to show up down here somewhere on New Year's Eve," another Alabama fan said.

Tickets are still available through Ticketmaster for people interested in attending Tuesday's game. The game kicks off at noon at Raymond James Stadium.
