The grand opening celebration of the community will be in spring 2018 with special guest U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Phelps.
The lagoon will include a waterslide, private cabanas, swim-up bar, tidal pool, yoga lawn and family beach.
The amenity will cost $25 a month for residents whose homes are built around the lagoon, but it will also be open to the public for a fee.
After construction, the millions of gallons of water began to fill the man-made lagoon in November.
Metro Development Group based in Miami builds the lagoons mainly in Dubai and South Africa. This is the first of its kind here in the United States and there are plans to build more in Central Florida, including Wimauma in southern Hillsborough County, Polk County, and in north Ft. Myers, along with Texas, and Nevada.
