LUTZ, Fla. - A Pasco County woman has been charged after trashing her house and then setting it on fire, investigators say.
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says the woman and her husband were separating and she was in the process of moving out when she lit the fire.
It happened Saturday morning at a home on Turtle Lakes Road in Lutz.
The sheriff's office says Brandi Currigan and her husband, who works in Iraq for a private security company, were separating and Currigan was moving out.
Investigators believe before she set the fire, Currigan painted graffiti on the inside and outside walls of the home and then poured paint throughout the house.
She apparently set fires at three separate origin sites inside of the home, investigators said.
Currigan was arrested and charged with arson. Deputies said she also had methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphernalia.
Firefighters saved eight dogs from the burning home. No injuries were reported.
