A popular online trend involving snow angels and bathing suits has people on social media challenging each other to take part in the activity.

What is the "Snow Angel Challenge"?

The challenge involves people wearing bathing suits and lying in the snow making snow angels and they record themselves in videos which are posted on social media.

The backstory:

The Snow Angel Challenge was originally launched by the Salvation Army in 2018, and it was created to raise money and awareness for the organization’s efforts to support people and families in need.

Salvation Army officials share with the Scioto Post, an online news site in Ohio, that their goal is to help "lift neighbors in need out of poverty" and prevent a "snowball effect" where challenges continue to build on one another.

What you can do:

People interested in taking part in the challenge can create snow angels in their yards and film a video and post it on social media sites like Instagram, X, formerly Twitter, Facebook, or Snapchat using the hashtag #SnowAngelChallenge.
