NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. - A Spring Hill man died Wednesday morning after his Ford Explorer drifted off the road in New Port Richey, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened just west of Gatun St. on Banbury Ave.

Investigators say the 39-year-old victim's car entered the shoulder as he failed to negotiate a curve.

When FHP arrived, they found that the Ford Explorer had struck several trees.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
