St. Pete man accused of plotting to kidnap, sexually assault and murder a child: Police
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - A St. Petersburg man has been arrested after police say he discussed plans online to kidnap, sexually assault, and murder a child.
What we know:
Police say an out-of-state law enforcement agency contacted the St. Petersburg Police Department because Jason Foley had been talking with a suspect of theirs online about plans to kidnap, sexually assault, and murder a child.

On Friday morning, the St. Petersburg SWAT team arrested Foley at an apartment at 430 3rd Avenue South.

Foley has been charged with 23 counts of possession of child pornography and three counts of transmission of child pornography -conspiracy to commit 1st-degree murder -conspiracy to commit kidnapping -conspiracy to commit capital sexual battery -conspiracy to commit aggravated child abuse.
What we don't know:
SPPD did not identify the suspect Foley was communicating with and did not provide any additional details about the case.
