Study: Coffee could start tasting worse due to climate change
Climate change has reportedly already started to wreak havoc on coffee bean production but a new study suggests even the coffee that's hard to come by might not taste as good due to the climate crisis.
Researchers found two major factors linked with coffee quality -- high altitude and limited sunlight.
Beans grown at higher elevations prosper because of the cooler temperatures, something that might be hard to come by if the earth continues to heat up.
On the other hand, experts believe they can work around protecting crops from too much sun exposure.
Researchers hope this study will highlight the importance in slowing the process of climate change for the sake of a good cup of coffee.
