SARASOTA, Fla. - A man died on Thursday evening after hitting multiple deputies' vehicles during an attempted traffic stop, then crashing minutes after he got away, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.
What we know:
SCSO said deputies tried to stop Cody Burrow, 31, on a felony drug warrant shortly after 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of Beneva Rd. and Webber Rd.
Burrow crashed his Ford F-150 pickup truck into SCSO cruisers, injuring a deputy, the sheriff's office said. The injured deputy went to the hospital and is expected to fully recover.

Investigators said Burrow was able to get away before crashing into a utility pole about six miles away in the area of Lockwood Ridge Rd. and 53rd St. Burrow died at the scene.
What we don't know:
SCSO did not specify what charges Burrow was facing, only saying he had an active warrant for narcotics.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the deadly crash, the sheriff's office said.
