A Hudson man attacked two people with a ninja sword after discovering his socks were missing, deputies say.

Brandon Donald McCray, 47, of Lauderdale Street in Hudson, apparently became angry because he couldn’t find his socks - believing his roommate had stolen them, Pasco County sheriff’s deputies say.

In response, investigators say McCray tried to hit his 53-year-old roommate, Frank Smith, in the head with a sword.

Deputies say Smith nearly lost several fingers trying to defend himself.

McCray also swung the sword at his ex-girlfriend who still lived at the home. She was cut on her thigh, deputies say.

A woman at the home, Angela Geiger, 43, was also injured

McCray, still armed with the sword, went after Smith again and, after a brief struggle, McCray left the house.

Deputies say they found him at a neighbor’s home and he was arrested on charges of attempted homicide and battery.

Both victims are expected to recover.
