Westchase taco restaurant serving up unique dishes
WESTCHASE, Fla. - A new year with a new taco restaurant might be just the thing for famished foodies in Westchase.
"We actually started out as a food truck," said Ahmed Saleh, a partner in Talkin' Tacos. "It was time to put something forward into Westchase, to really bring everything together."
Talkin' Tacos brought their Miami-inspired Mexican food dishes to the Tampa Bay area a while ago, but this expansion into the Westchase area gives the community a chance to try out their Halal menu items with a South Florida flare.
"We have our loaded fries which are garnished with takis and guac, (the) Birria grilled cheese as well, which is juicy and savory," shared Saleh addressing some favorites, "Caribbean Carne tacos, which have juicy marinated steak, plantains and avocado ranch that really just give a sweetness to the overall flavor."
The plantains are a nod to their Miami roots, but they also have Mahi Mahi Tacos to bring out the seafood lovers.
"I've heard amazing feedback from everyone that has come in, one of the best tacos they've ever had," admitted Saleh.
Their newest location is in Westchase located at 9520 W Linebaugh Ave.
They also have a location in the University of South Florida area, located at 1819 E Fowler Ave.
