Teen arrested after 15-year-old shot, killed at St. Pete apartment complex: Police
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - A 17-year-old was arrested in the death of another teen at a St. Petersburg apartment complex last week, officers said.
The St. Pete Police Department said Zymere Darden-Williams, 17, was taken into custody on a second-degree murder charge in the death of Tomohnd Newkirk, 15.

Authorities said they responded just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18, to the TGM Bay Isles apartments, which is located at 11850 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street North. Once they arrived, they found Newkirk with a gunshot wound.

The 15-year-old was taken to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Pete where he was pronounced dead, investigators said.
The case remains under investigation by St. Pete police.
