Toy Story Land officially opens this weekend at Disney
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (FOX 13) - The brand new Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios officially opens on Saturday.
Upon being greeted by Andy's best friend "Woody," guests will "shrink" to the size of a toy and get to play with all of the beloved toys of Andy's backyard.
Toy Story Land includes two all-new attractions, like the Slinky Dog roller coaster and going for a spin with the little green Aliens of Pizza Planet on the Alien Swirling Saucers.
There are crayons, Rubik's Cube, Cooties, and other popular games featured in Toy Story Land, along with Tinkertoys as lamp posts and benches built from Lincoln Logs and K'nex pieces.
“This new land will place guests inside the wondrous world of Woody, Buzz and their pals – and invite everyone to experience the joy of being a toy,” said Bob Chapek, chairman of Disney parks, experiences and consumer products.
Guests will also still get to visit one of the most popular rides, Toy Story Mania, which allows guests to experience a moving carnival playset and hit targets with virtual objects from baseballs to cream pies.
Wood's Lunch Box is also open for on-the-go refreshments like soda floats and grilled cheese.
Toy Story Land is 11 acres and officially opens up June 30.
