TAMPA, Fla. - Two K-9s with the Florida Highway Patrol passed away unexpectedly this week, according to a post on the agency’s Facebook page.
The post stated that K-9 Remy and K-9 Joker suffered irreversible medical issues.
K-9 Remy served Troop A, which is in the Panhandle, while K-9 Joker served Troop B, which covers the Lake City and Gainesville area.
The Florida Highway Patrol is asking for people to keep the K-9’s and their handlers in their thoughts and prayers.

The post ended with the agency thanking both dogs for their dedication and service and stating that the FHP was a better place because of both "good boys."
