GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Co. (STORYFUL) - A livestock truck crashed along an interstate about a mile outside of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, tipping over and spilling dozens of pigs into the road.
It happened in the early afternoon of September 11 on Interstate 70.
The Colorado Department of Transportation says at least 20 pigs were injured in the incident.
The surviving pigs were confined to the westbound lane of the highway and hosed down to keep them cool.
A later video released by the Colorado Department of Transportation clarified that several of the injured pigs had to be euthanized.
The Post Independent reported that 100 pigs survived the crash, and the wreckage was cleared by 6 p.m.
