Video: Deputies identify DUI suspect in crash that left truck wrapped around tree
TAMPA, Fla. - One driver was injured and another faces a DUI charge after a crash left a Dodge Ram truck wrapped around a tree, pinning the driver, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
The crash, also involving a sedan, happened around 2:45 a.m. Monday on Waters Ave. just east of Himes Ave.
The driver of the sedan, Howard Cruz Denis, 33, was arrested and charged with DUI with serious bodily injury, according to deputies.

According to HCSO, the truck driver was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital with serious lower leg injuries but is said to be stable and should recover.
A crash on Waters Ave. left the driver of a pickup truck pinned early Monday.
"This crash is a stark reminder of the dangers of impaired driving," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Driving under the influence is a choice that puts lives at risk. We are thankful the victim is expected to recover, and we urge everyone to make responsible decisions to keep our roads safe."
