TAMPA (FOX 13) - It looks like no one from the Bay Area hit last night's record Powerball jackpot, but at least two local people woke up $1-million richer.
Two million-dollar tickets were sold in the Bay Area, according to a Florida Lottery spokesperson. The winners have not been identified, but the tickets were sold at a Publix on 113th Street in Seminole and at a Radiant Food Store on Gall Blvd. in Zephyrhills.
Nationally, lotto officials say three tickets matched the numbers for the $1.5-billion jackpot -- one in Tennessee, one in Los Angeles, and one across the state in Melbourne Beach, Florida.
Several other Floridians scored with secondary prizes, though. A $2-million ticket was sold in Seminole County and other million-dollar tickets were sold around the state.
Here are the Sunshine State's winners, according to the Florida Lottery:
- $2-million winner: Seminole County
- $1-million winner: Pinellas County (Publix, 7880 113th Street, Seminole)
- $1-million winner: Pasco County (Radiant, 6512 Gall Blvd., Zephyrhills)
- $1-million winners: Broward County (2)
- $1-million winner: Okaloosa County
- $1-million winners: Broward County (2)
- $1-million winner: Monroe County
- $1-million winners: Palm Beach County (2)
- $1-million winners: Miami-Dade (3)
