Unique 'keepsake items' now being sold by Oldsmar craftsman

Randy Hoople is a woodworker based out of Oldsmar

Since retiring during the COVID-19 pandemic, Hoople has returned to his lifelong hobby of woodworking, opening and operating Handcrafted by Randy Hoople.

Through his business, he works with clients to create functional handcrafted items, such as bowls, plates, and coffee mugs.

"I like to consider what I am doing as unique keepsake items," Hoople said.

For his part, Hoople says his favorite products to make are coffee mugs.

"I use a coffee mug pretty much every day of the week," Hoople said about the mug's functionality.

Other niche products, like breadboards, have also gained traction with some of Hoople’s customers.

"It’s not a turned piece, but it’s a beautiful piece nonetheless," Hoople said about the breadboards.

Hoople also described the "sense of satisfaction" he gets working with customers through "the process of idea to development to delivery" of handpicked and handcrafted items.
