UPDATE: The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has identified the victims as 44-year-old Orlando F. Constantinescu, 45-year-old Dorina Constantinescu and 76-year-old Tedora Contantinescu.
Just after 10 this morning, the Sarasota County 911 Center got a disturbing call.
"There are two guests in a room that killed themselves," said the caller.
Deputies arrived shortly to the Fairfield Inn and Suites off Executive Drive in Venice. Housekeeping found two bodies in a room.
"One is on the floor one is in the chair," said the caller. "The weapon is sitting next to the man -- it's a man and a woman -- the woman is in the chair, the man is laying on the floor and there is blood everywhere."
A short distance away a third body was found in another room.
Deputies said they had been there for a few hours.
"It is quite shocking actually," said Eric Mesange.
Many hotel guests never knew what happened. Deputies said it appeared to be a double murder and a suicide.
They can only release that a man, his wife, and his mother were staying at the hotel.
"Either we missed what ever happened and it was late night or it was a quiet deal what happened," said Eric Mesange.
Hotel guests said they saw investigators on the third floor. One guest said he and his wife were staying close to the room investigators were focusing on.
"We were wondering what happened. I went out in the hallway and saw everyone in the room next to ours," said Bill Swanson.
Bill Swanson said he and his wife were in a room nearby and never heard a sound.
"We both couldn't sleep very well. We were up till 2 and we never heard anything," he said.
Deputies are still investigating.
