Vehicle slams into Plant High School bleachers following crash
TAMPA, Fla. - Tampa police are investigating a crash that sent a vehicle into a set of bleachers at Plant High School.
It happened around 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the 2400 block of South Himes Avenue.
Police say two vehicles were involved in a crash and the impact sent one into a bleacher at Plant High School.

According to the Tampa Police Department, a woman was taken to an area hospital and is expected to be okay.
A message from Principal Heather Holloway to parents of students at Plant High School stated that a student who was leaving campus in their car was also hit during the incident.
She went on to say that the student was okay, and their parents were notified.
According to the message, the crash did not impact school operations, but it did cause "quite a scene by our track."
