Victim identified in early morning homicide
TAMPA (FOX 13) - The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has identified 39-year-old Jose Anthony Quinones as the victim of an early morning homicide.
Deputies arrested Eric Rivera, 25, and charged him with first-degree murder in connection with the death.
The investigation began when deputies were called to a strip mall at 4025 W. Waters Avenue early Saturday morning. Deputies said there was an altercation between the victim and suspect.
Quinones was pronounced deceased at the scene, and detectives spent hours interviewing witnesses.
Rivera was arrested at a gas station off Hanley Road. He was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail.
