Watch: Cows help Florida police catch suspect
SANFORD, Fla. (FOX 13) - Police in Sanford received some extra help while attempting to find a suspect.
A car crash occurred after a police pursuit, and the female suspect fled into a field where a herd of cattle were waiting.
Seminole County Sheriff’s Office assisted with its air unit, and shared video onto the agency’s Facebook page showing their view of the incident. Deputies said the cattle “provided law enforcement a big assist, repeatedly following and helping corral one who strayed on to their turf!
"As the air unit watched from the sky, they tried to assist law enforcement below in tracking her down.
At one point, they are heard saying, “If you see the large group of cows, they are literally following her.”
The suspect is then seen climbing through a fence to escape, and police later took her into custody. It’s unclear what caused the initial pursuit. Deputies said the incident occurred on Sunday.
