Christmas Day weather in Florida forecast to be above-average. Here's what that means for you
ORLANDO, Fla. - Christmas Day in Central Florida is shaping up to be warm, so get ready to deck the halls in shorts and flip-flops!
FOX 35 Storm Team Meteorologist Brooks Garner said the region can expect temperatures to reach the mid 80s – about 10 to 15 degrees above the seasonal average.
Though Christmas is still over two weeks away and predictions may shift, the pattern aligns with the region's typically balmy Decembers.
"Of course, it's not written in stone. We're 16 days away. Things can change," Brooks said. "However, there's a pretty good chance that we will be above normal and maybe significantly above normal, based on a multitude of long-range indications that are all, at this point, in total agreement. There is no Arctic air threatening our region at this time."
Residents planning holiday activities can likely expect the season’s festive spirit without the need for heavy coats.
