Woman killed, man severely hurt in ATV crash in Citrus County
HERNANDO, Fla. - A woman died after an ATV crashed on New Year's Day in Citrus County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday in the area of North Pine Dr. and East Kathy Rd. in Hernando.
FHP said the driver of the ATV, a 35-year-old man, swerved to avoid crashing into a motorbike. Both the driver and passenger, a 38-year-old woman, were thrown from the ATV.

The motorbike, ridden by a 16-year-old boy, then hit both the man and woman, troopers said.
The woman died at the scene and the man was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
