Wreaths Across America honors Bay Area veterans ahead of holiday season

Remember, honor, teach: that's the mission of the organization Wreaths Across America.

Their goal is to lay a wreath on every American veteran's grave this December, including veterans buried at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.

The Wreaths Across America mobile education exhibit is in the Tampa Bay area this weekend to get the word out.

Inside the Wreaths Across America trailer is an exhibit about America's war veterans. As many people know, Vietnam war veterans did not receive the welcome home they deserved.

Part of Wreaths Across America's mission is to welcome them home properly with a pinning ceremony.

Recipients include Army veteran Bob Janes who flew soldiers into combat and Army veteran Fred Beckman who was a platoon leader with the 173rd infantry.

Stefan Brann has the honor of driving the exhibit all over the country and honoring veterans who served in combat. He was in Inverness earlier this week and Lakeland yesterday.

This Saturday and Sunday, the exhibit will be at Bert's Harley Davidson on 49th Street in Clearwater.
