Alyse Zwick
Alyse Zwick is a three-time Emmy-nominated traffic reporter and morning anchor who joined Good Day Tampa Bay in July 2023. With nearly 20 years of experience in news and entertainment, Alyse began her career in New York City before relocating to Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 2021 where she served as a breaking news reporter and morning anchor for a local NBC affiliate.
Her start in broadcast journalism was inspired by her volunteer work with veterans. In 2009, she was crowned Miss New York for the Miss America Organization and advocated for servicemembers and their families-a cause close to her heart, inspired by her late grandfather, a decorated World War II veteran. Alyse's first live broadcasting role was hosting the New York City Veterans Day Parade, which she continues to host today.
She later graduated cum laude from the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Professional Studies with a degree in Communications and Culture and began reporting traffic at News 12 New Jersey. Next, she covered traffic and news at Spectrum News NY1 and later joined the morning team at Good Day New York on FOX 5. Her Emmy-nominated coverage of the 2018 East River deadly helicopter crash and NYC Veterans Day parade are several highlights in a distinguished career.
Beyond traditional news, Alyse has brought her energy and versatility to the world of sports and entertainment. She was the in-arena host for the NHL's New York Islanders and hosted multiple NHL All-Star games. She also became a correspondent for the WWE Network, covering "This Week in WWE" and Friday Night Smackdown on FOX.
Alyse has received national recognition for her work on behalf of the military community. She was selected by the Starz Network and director Steven Soderbergh to moderate the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of Leavenworth, a powerful docuseries examining the U.S. military justice system.
Now in Tampa Bay, she’s eager to connect with local veterans and share their stories.
When she’s not on-air, Alyse enjoys concerts, dance classes, beach days, and exploring the area with her husband, their son and dog, Batman. And fun fact—you can see her in Seth Rogen’s Film An American Pickle playing a news anchor.
