SEMINOLE (FOX 13) - The top women bowlers in the world are in Seminole this weekend. Seminole Lanes is hosting the Professional Women’s Bowling Association tournament.
This is the third year the St. Petersburg-Clearwater Open has been held at Seminole Lanes.
“It’s a huge deal, to have these ladies here and to be able to experience it for our bowlers and for our community. It’s a huge deal for us, it’s a huge deal for them. It’s a pretty awesome event,” Seminole Lanes' General Manager Cory Krauss said.
Thursday was the pre-tournament qualifier round. The tournament will go from Friday to Saturday night.
More than 30 bowlers will compete with the top five bowling Saturday night for $10,000.
