Tropical wave may develop in Atlantic

FOX 13 Meteorologist Tony Sadiku is watching a tropical wave off the coast of Africa that has a 40 percent chance of developing over the next week. However, he says if it does develop it is not expected to impact land. If it does develop and earn a name, it will be called Emily.

Tropical system to bring rain to Florida

FOX 13 Meteorologist Tony Sadiku says the tropics are fairly quiet but he is watching a system that will likely bring rain to the Sunshine State over the weekend. Sadiku says the National Hurricane Center is keeping an eye on a wave that is currently off the coast of Africa and has a 30 percent chance of developing over the next week. The next named storm on the list is Emily.

Tropical disturbance in Atlantic may bring rain to Florida

FOX 13 Meteorologist Tony Sadiku is watching two areas of interest in the Atlantic basin. He says Invest 95, which originally looked like it was strengthening, now only has a 10 percent chance of developing over the next week before it dissipates. The other area he is watching only has a 20 percent chance of forming over the week as it moves west toward the coast of Florida and the Carolinas. He says he’s not too concerned about either system, but he says the second system may bring more rain to the Sunshine State over the weekend.

Post-tropical Don almost done as Invest 95 struggles to form

FOX 13 Meteorologist Tony Sadiku is saying goodbye to post-tropical Don as it gets ready to dissipate in cooler waters. Sadiku is monitoring Invest 95, which has a 20 percent chance of developing over the next week. He says it’s having a tough time organizing and wind shear will impact it as it moves into the Caribbean Sea.
