FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber is watching an area of low pressure in the tropics that has a 10 percent chance of developing over the next seven days. He says strong winds are expected to prevent it from developing though. According to Weber there are some weak tropical waves making their way off the coast of Africa, but the Saharan air is keeping them from forming.

Tropical Storm Cindy remnants have dissipated

FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber says it’s pretty quiet in the tropics right now. He says the remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy have dissipated and are no longer an issue. However, he is watching one issue in the Atlantic. It doesn’t look like much will happen with it, but it does have a 20 percent chance of developing over the next seven days.
