Tropical Storm Bret sets sights on Lesser Antilles

FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber says the tropics are active as he keeps an eye on Tropical Storm and Invest 93L, which is likely to develop into a tropical system within the next two days. Weber says wind shear will create a hostile environment for both storms, but Invest 93L will also head into warm waters that are conducive for further development. He says Tropical Storm Brett may weaken due to wind shear if it tracks a little south, but if it tracks north without the wind shear it may develop into a hurricane.

Tropical depression likely to become hurricane

Fox 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber says a tropical depression working its way across the Atlantic is likely to become a hurricane. Weber says that over the next few days, the depression will continue to move towards the east and strengthen. A few modules have the storm moving south, while others have the storm staying farther to the north. Weber says there are still many question marks surrounding this storm. However, he adds that at this point, none of the modules indicate that there would be any effects over the U.S.

Tropical storm beginning to form in the Atlantic

Fox 13 Meteorologist Tony Sadiku is keeping an eye on a tropical storm forming in the Atlantic. The second named storm of the season would be Bret. Tony says that a storm could form sometime during the middle of the week. Conditions are favorable, and models show the storm turning out to sea. At the moment, nothing is set in stone with the path the storm will take.

Fox Meteorologist Tony Sadiku provides an update on the tropics

Fox 13 Meteorologist Tony Sadiku provides an update on a tropical wave we are keeping an eye on in the Atlantic. Tony says it is nothing to worry about right now. However, the National Weather Service indicates it could develop into a depression or named system. If that were to happen, it would likely not be for a couple of days, and it is too early to specify any details.

Tropical depression may form next week

FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber is keeping an eye on a disturbance off the coast of Africa. He says it’s disorganized, but conditions are conducive for it to develop as it gains strength over warm waters next week. Weber says there is a 50 %chance it will develop over the next seven days and could become a tropical depression or tropical storm.
