Saharan dust, El Nino keeping tropics quiet

FOX 13 Meteorologist Dave Osterberg is watching the tropics as we head into August. He says 30 percent of named storms typically occurred this month. He says despite high temperatures, El Nino and Saharan dust are keeping things quiet. He adds that there is one little disturbance that the National Hurricane Center is giving a 10 percent chance for development. Osterberg says there are some waves coming off the coast of Africa, but there is nothing threatening to develop for the next week.
