Deep tropical moisture may bring rain to Florida next week

FOX 13 Meteorologist Dave Osterberg says the tropics are quiet right now thanks to a layer of Saharan dust moving off the coast of Africa. He notes that computer models are picking up on a lot of deep tropical moisture pooling in the Western Caribbean or southern Gulf of Mexico. He says a trough may pick up that moisture over the next few days and bring it toward Florida. He said this could bring several inches of rain to the Sunshine State next week. However, there is no development expected over the next seven days.
