Animals surrendered, adopted at FWC event
From the slow moving, to the slithering, and the squawking, today was the day exotic pet owners could bid farewell to their unwanted pets before they’re matched with new homes. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has been hosting the program since 2006. Pet owners can give up any invasive species, no questions asked. The animals are adopted out within hours.
