Young teen killed in hit-and-run

Saturday morning around 2:36, Tyler's family said he was with his cousins and a family friend. They were walking near U.S 19 and 49th Street East in Palmetto. Troopers said a Chevy Silverado veered off the road, hit the group and kept going. The crash killed Pittard and family friend, 47 year old Donald Keefer. Pittard's cousin Misty Zipperer was critically injured.
