Judge hears final arguments in school opening case
Leon County Circuit Judge Charles Dodson heard the final arguments in the challenge of a state order requiring schools to reopen this month amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The Florida Education Association teachers union alleges the order iviolates the state Constitution, which guarantees Floridians the right to “safe” and “secure” public education.
