Safety Harbor bakery started in owner's New York kitchen

SAFETY HARBOR (FOX 13) - There is a small batch bakery in Safety Harbor that has so much to make your mouth water.

Joey Biscotti Rustic Gourmet Bakery can be found in downtown. The concept all started in Joey’s home kitchen in New York where he shared his creations with family and friends. They told him, “You should really open your own bakery some day!” Finally, he did.

Just a few of the delicious items they rotate in their display case are: Lime Coconut bars, Chocolate Toffee Cake Pudding, Salted Caramel Cheesecake bars, Double Chocolate Ganache Brownies, Coconut Cream Pie bars, Porter Pecan Pie brownies (made with Crooked Thumb Brewery’s Namesake Porter), layer cakes, cheesecakes, pies, brownies, cookies.

On the weekends, they add turnovers, danishes, baked doughnuts, cinnamon rolls and scones. The list goes on.
