Veterans Day at the Armed Forces History Museum
LARGO (FOX 13) - Charley spends Veterans Day morning at the Armed Forces History museum in honor of all the brave men and women who have served, and continue to serve and protect our nation.
In the video above, hear from Marine Michael Jernigan, who after being severely injured in combat in 2005, returned to the states to recover and find "meaningful work."
He achieved that and so much more.
After graduating from the University of South Florida in St. Pete, Jernigan went on to co-found the Paws for Patriots program through the Southeastern Guide Dogs. The program provides injured vets with service dogs.
